The past 5 weeks have been incredible! Got to travel around Finland & Italy, see friends and family, and be able to be apart of so many awesome projects all over. The past 5 weeks I was able to shoot 6 graduation photoshoots, 1 band promo shoot, 1 music video, & 3 weddings!

Adios! See you on the other side of the Atlantic… Finland you treated me well!

After so many photoshoots, you sometimes just gotta take a break and enjoy :)  We drove to Turku, and got to spend some time with our grandpa and family. We’ve decided to make it a tradition to start going sailing every single year in Finland because hes right now 79 and you never know how many years he’s got left! So we gotta make each year count. Here’s some photos from our time at the cottage. ENJOY! And check out last year’s sailing video at https://vimeo.com/26317194

Life keeps on going, and the work keeps on coming :) We had a super awesome time in Italy, and the next day we got back, the next project begun! This time were filming something a bit different than our regular wedding video projects, we were doing a music video for our friends called Immanuel. They are local rappers from Kerava city and they are doing awesome things with local youth in Kerava, really giving them purpose and direction! Check them out at http://www.facebook.com/immanuelhiphop and their new music video out to come soon!

Below are some behind the scenes shots from the music video!

With the week over, we left Kerava to Turku which is a 2 hour drive. Our grandpa has come from Canada, and were going on a sailing trip tommorow! It’s become sort of an annual thing, if you haven’t seen our last years video, check it out!

Heres some pictures from the drive to Turku! It’s so cold and miserable out right now in Finland, where is summer!!?!

That is all for now! Enjoy! And if you havent liked our page on facebook yet, go check it out at www.facebook.com/heartvisuals  … We appreciate the love!

The trip to ITALY has ended, but what a AWESOME trip it was!  We spent 5 days in Italy, two in Rome and 3 in the countryside of Italy near Stefano Di Sessanio shooting a wedding video for our clients Tanja + David.

The trip consisted of ALOT of priceless memories, good and bad, that won’t be forgotten… Some of these being Janne falling into a pile of poop while timelapsing, almost losing the Go-pro in the Adriatic sea, and worst of all, Janne tripping and breaking his 7D (Thank God for Finnish insurance).

All in all, we were able to capture AMAZING footage from their wedding and we are excited for the final product to come to completion!

Below are some photos from the trip!

We did ALOT of timelapsing on this trip, who could resist capturing the moments?

Capturing the city streets for the brides family procession!

Back window view from the wedding venue! Incredible eh?

I think he’s digging the Ipad?

Matti enjoying his coke at the end of a longgggg day of filming!

Check out in the upcoming weeks our video episodes of HEART VISUALS on the ROAD to see more of our trip and adventure in ITALY!!!

Heart Visuals is REALLY on the road :)  Were travelling to Rome, Italy today and staying until sunday shooting a wedding video… It’s gonna be one amazing trip in store for us!

Here is our HEART VISUALS team!

These past 7 days have been some of the most amazing times of my life, but the same time, TIRING!

In the past week I shot 4 graduation shoots, 1 band promo shoot, and a wedding! SO basically, it was on the go, shooting and editing non-stop! But it was awesome, and the final products have turned out brilliantly!

This is Jesse, from one of our shoots! Awesome birch forest planted in rows. This kids pretty awesome, he had a shotgun prepared for our photoshoot :)

Sini was another one of our graduates, and she was ready to do anything! Here I am, hanging out halfway out the window, just to get that perfect shot. Later on, she even got dirtied up in the mud, shes a real trooper!

Saturday was spent shooting the first wedding of the season, and I couldn’t of asked for a better day. The wedding couple were awesome and so fun to work with, and how can you go wrong with an assistant? Thanks Sanni!

This is all for now, pictures amazing sunsets and more grilling parties to come!

                                                    AND THE WORK CONTINUES!

This week has been crazy… Photoshoots every single day, and my first ever band promo shoot! On wednesday we setup with our friend Henri Saranpaa (below) lights for SoftEngine… All in all it went really well, and I’m happy with the results!

Small teaser of whats to come from our Softengine shoot. Check out their band athttp://soundcloud.com/softengine  They are a real up and comer in Finland, and young guns!

The rest of the week has been shooting graduation photos. Beginning of June is when everyone in Finland has their graduation parties, so people want their pictures done. Its been awesome getting creative and trying things I’ve never tried before! Today we were on a ladder 6 feet high, shooting one of the graduates in a muddy field with her dress and hat. What a trooper!

Sanni - Best assistant ever !

And after doing so many shoots, and hours of editing photos.. Its time to retreat to the cottage for an evening of sauna/swimming and grilling lots of meat! Check how awesome Finnish lakes are!

WORK HAS BEGUN!

This week I have been shooting ALOT!  So far we filmed a longboarding video, took some evening photos (note: below photos of the boys were at 10PM, how good is finnish light eh?) and shot a graduation photo shoot with Essi Savijoki!  GREAT so far!

First Graduation photoshoot of our Finnish trip,  1 of 5 or 6 we’ll be doing, went REALLY awesome.. The light was perfect, the grad was so into it, and I had one awesome assistant, Sanni!

Me chilling after a long day of work, ADIOS… I’m off to sleep!

FAMILY TIME

Vacation in Finland has been great… Before all the work starts, I decided it’d be good to spend quality time with family and friends, so here I am in SEINAJOKI… Aka wallriver :)

And here goes the cutest kid award to LUCAS!

This was what it was like to leave Toronto :D  It was one gloomy day!

Leaving on a trip always has its excitement… New adventures, seeing old friends and family, it’s awesome… But having flown so many times back and forth between Canada and Finland, airplanes have lost its novelty :D  From Toronto to Belgium I was stuck on this REALLY squished plane for 7 hours where I had barely any space to move… Luckily on my flight from Belgium to Finland I scored a whole row to myself (I slightly wondered why there was no one on the plane though)

So after staying up the whole night on the flights, I arrived in Helsinki at 3pm, reunited with my brother… Right away we had to drive 4 hours north with a short pit-stop in Tampere to have lunch with our boy Dansku! He’s the man, check out their newest at http://www.facebook.com/LosTaipales

With pure jet-lag, Saturday morning was our graduation and one of the reasons why I came to Finland so early… Check out these AWESOME graduation stills :D HAH
